No bar on tying of flags for Milad-un-Nabi or ringing of bells in temples, clarify police

Tempers ran high in old city on Friday with two communities expressing anger over alleged restrictions imposed by the police on tying of flags for coming Milad-un-Nabi and on banning of ringing of the bell in Bhagyalxmi temple, adjacent to the historic Charminar.

The rumour that police were preventing the devout from ringing the bell surfaced apparently after a newspaper published a picture of two woman constables holding the bells in the temple in an attempt to prevent the devotees from ringing them during ‘Harati’ time. The fact that the picture was published five days ago and the firm denial of police that such an order was issued, did not cut much ice.

Police suspect that the picture was not shot recently, as one of the constables in it was currently attached to Nampally police station and not old city. The situation appeared to spiral out of control after Telugu Desam corporator Raja Singh known for his right-wing activities, announced that he would go to the temple to the ring the bell. Singh’s supporters wanted to take out a rally to Charminar arguing that there was never any restriction on ringing of the bell in temples.

Anticipating trouble, the police moved in and took the corporator into preventive custody on Thursday night and released him on Friday morning.

“There is no such order prohibiting ringing of bell. Many devotees did ring the bell during Harati time. These reports are baseless,” the South zone DCP, Manish Kumar Sinha, said.

Meanwhile, tension was also building up at several places in old city after people alleged that the police were preventing the tying of banners and flags for Milad-un-Nabi festival. However, Mr. Sinha refuted that restrictions were imposed on tying of banners and flags.

“It is true that we’re trying to streamline the ‘jalsa’ (meeting), processions and decorations such as tying of flags organised during the festival by speaking to various sections,” Mr. Sinha said. While he claimed that organisers responded positively to police suggestions, some cried foul alleging that the police were detaining persons who tied flags on roads and grilling them.

PROCESSION ROUTES

The DCP said that elders of the community celebrating the festival were asked to confine decorations to February 4, 5 and 6. Details of the meeting venues, routes of processions and other celebrations were being collected to provide adequate security and ensure minimum traffic chaos. Keeping in view the violence that erupted after the festival two years ago, the police did not want to take any chances.

Hindus in Kerala are almost under siege in the Muslim majority districts of Malappuram and Kottayam and also in Christian majority district of Ernakulam.  The Hindus of other three or four districts in Kerala are also in danger line.  The Mallapuram district was carved out to create a Muslim majority district by the Communist government headed by E.M.S Namboodiripad on 16 June 1969.

This land of Kerala is famous for the birth place of Adi Shankarayara and bearing a strong legacy of Hindu tradition and culture. But for a long drawn strategy of the anti Hindu force in Kerala, the Hindus are now decreasing the numbers and powers in Kerala which is very alarming.

Slaughter of Pregnant cow near Sasatha Temple at Peumbavoor - A warning to Hindu society in Kerala

In the last week, two disastrous incident happened in Kerala one at Perumbavoor in Ernakulam District where a pregnant cow was slaughtered by three Muslim butchers under instigation of the Muslim perpetrators in front of a Hindu Sasatha Temple temple during Makara Villakku time in Sabarimala and one Hindu activist named Sharon (Mullassery area RSS Karyavaha) was brutally murdered on 19^th January 2012 in Manaloor area of Thrissur District by anti Hindu force led by CPIM-Islamist perpetrators. All the times Hindus and their sentiments are vehemently attacked with dire consequences in Kerala by anti Hindu force having their roots in Arabia, gulf countries or in Vatican. However, as a retaliation of Sharon’s murder, the local CPIM offices was vandalized and set on fire on the next day on 20th January.

Dawn-to-dusk shutdown and rallies in Ernakulam district at Muvattupuzha, Kunnathunadu and Kothamangalam area marked vehement Hindu Protest against Cow Slaughter in front of Perumbavoor Temple.

In the last three years in Kerala, more than 100 of Hindu activists (most of them are RSS, Hindu Munnani or Hindu Aiyakavedi activists) were murdered by the Muslim, Christian or CPIM goons, over 2000 Hindu girls were snatched forever by Muslim Love Jehadis, hundreds of Hindu establishments and Hindu occupations were vacated by the anti-Hindu Muslim, Christian or Political force, many Hindu temples and Devaswom boards were forcefully undertaken through anti-Hindu legislation. Anti-Hindus secular policies of the pseudo secular government of Kerala, either led by the secular Congress party or Communist parties always harm the Hindus in Kerala.  The elected “Secular” Government of Kerala tried to  a legislative Bill in 2010 with a view to  take  over only Hindu temples, trusts, their asserts and related affairs including the revenue from Hindu devotees, their donations and endowments, and entrusted their ownership, management and control to specially constituted statutory bodies like Travancore Devaswom Board, Cochin Devaswom Board, Guruvayoor Temple Committee, etc. But that bill was somehow restrained by the Hindu organizations through a series of protests.

Politics in Kerala has always been controlled by either Left power led by CPIM or the Rights counterpart led by Congress in their term were obviously dependent upon the Kerala Congress (A Christian Political force) or the Muslim League to grab the power in Assembly. The vote bank policies never facilitated Hindu voters in recent past except in the case of Pallakad Municipality was captured in 2005. In the recent years the Muslim  and Christian political groups are putting various pressures upon all the political parties in Kerala to fulfil their goal for a ethnic cleansing of Hindus in the furthest destination in the south India. Newly built ‘Kerala Religious Police” a Muslim fanatic wing, Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) and the Islamic Sevak Sangh (ISS), Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) floated by the Islamists of Kerala, all are very musch active Keralian Jehadi road maps or the reorganized National Democratic Front (NDF) have recently emerged as stronger alternatives to ISS and SIMI and have allegedly masterminded communal violence in recent years.

Perumbavoor, where the Jihadi Islamic fanatics slaughtered a pregnant Cow in Temple site and the surrounding areas have witnessed a rise in Islamist operations recently. The place is just 25 km away from Muvattupuzha, where activists of Islamist organization Popular Front of India had cut off the right hand of a college professor on July 4, 2010.

In 1921, present day Malappuram district witnessed a devastating revolts and massacres known as the Moplah rebellions killing lacs of innocent Hindus overnight. Through the establishment of Mallapuram, all the then Hindu majority districts in Kerala was divided in two parts as the Kasaragod, Kannur, Wayanad  and Kozhikode in the North were separated from the districts of Palakkad, Thrissur, Ernakulam , Idukki, Kottayam, Alappuzha, Pathanamthitta, Kollam and Thiruvananthapuram in the southern part. And if the non Muslims in Ernakulam and  Idukki get majority in any chance (high chance is there) the Kerala Hindus will be divided by three parts geographically.  All these are happening under a certain plan by the anti – Hindu force in Kerala.

Demographic change in Kerala marks a disastrous destiny of Kerala Hindus.

Out of 14 districts of Kerala Hindus are minority in at least five districts as the non Hindu population is larger now than the Hindu population there. These districts are (i) Malappuram (ii) Wayanad (iii) Ernakulam (iv) Idukki and (v) Kottayam in which Muslims are singly majority in Mallapuram and Kottayam and Christians are singly majority in Ernakulam Districts as per projection reports available on the basis of Census Report 2001 (published) and the Census Report 2011 (un-published).

As per  Census Report 2001, the district-wise population of Hindus, Muslims and Christians is as follows: Kasaragod: 7,05,234 (Hindus), 4,13,063 (Muslims), 84,891 (Christians); Kannur: 14,80,748 (H), 6,65,648 (M), 2,61,090 (C); Kozhikode: 16,69,161 (H), 10,78,759 (M), 1,27,468 (C); Wayanad: 3,92,141 (H), 2,09,758 (M) 1,75,495 (C); Malappuram : 10,57,418 (H), 24,84,576 (M), 1,75,495 (C); Palakkad: 18,02,766 (H), 7,03,596 (M), 1,09,249 (C); Thrissur : 17,61,842 (H), 4,88,697 (M), 7,20,152 (C); Ernakulam: 14,44,994 (H), 4,51,764 (M), 12,04,471 (C); Idukki : 5,66,744 (H), 81,222 (M), 4,80,108 (C); Kottayam: 9,63,497 (H), 1,16,686 (M), 8,71,371 (C); Alappuzha: 14,57,188 (H), 2,08,042 (M), 4,41,643 (C); Pathanamthitta: 6,94,560 (H), 56,457 (M), 4,81,602 (C); Kollam : 16,85,044 (H), 4,74,071 (M), 4,23,745 (C) and Thiruvananthapuram: 22,02,112 (H), 4,31,512 (M) and 5,95,563 (C). In the red lined districts Hindus became minority now below the strength of Non-Muslim population there.

Following the path of Muslim dominated Mallapuram district, Kottayam also became a certain Hindu Minority District in Kerala.

As per the recent details published by Department of Economics and statistics, Kerala,  out of 19,53,646 population the so called minority Muslims counts for 9,88,057 while the Hindu population is only 9,63,497.

The current demographic trends in Kerala indicate that within the next five years Hindus will become a minority in the land of Sankaracharya (Kerala). As per recent census, Kerala population is: Hindus 56.20 per cent. Muslims 26.7 per cent and Christians 20.90 per cent. But the joint effort of the Muslims and Christians to end the Hindu majority and hold in Kerala to make a Kashimr or Nagaland in the certain parts of the state has been speeding up gradually since the declaration of Mallapuram as the first Muslim majority district in India in 1969. More over, the area wise increase of Muslims and Christians and the decrease of Hindus in Kerala in general is a dangerous threat to so called secular and democratic atmosphere in Kerala. Once Hindus become a minority, Hindu slaughter will begin like in Kashmir and Nagaland. Keralite Hindus cannot stop it in Kerala alone if the others Hindus in every Indian state do not retaliate and restrict the Jihad and Evangelization in Kerala just now. Yes, now or never.  We should support the Hindu cause in Kerala.

Kashmiri Hindus Holocaust Day ~ 19 January.

The Joint Forum of Kashmiri Pandit organizations on held a massive protest demonstration today on the occasion of 22nd Holocaust Day outside the Raj Bhawan, Jammu The demonstrators carried placards and raised slogans remindful of ethnic cleansing and mass exodus of Kashmiri Pandits in 1990.

Chief Minister Omar Abdullah Thursday tweeted saying today marks another year of an incomplete Kashmir and expressed need to redouble efforts to facilitate the return of Kashmiri pandits to their rightful homes.

The speakers expressed, “Kashmiri Pandits have a rightful and natural claim on the territory of Kashmir and their Resettlement in Kashmir is a genuine political issue. This issue can be addressed only by meeting out the geo-political aspirations of the seven lakh displaced Kashmiri Pandits in the light of the demand of homeland in Kashmir.”

The issue of encroachments of temples and shrines in Kashmir was also raised and termed as very serious issue and the government was reminded to take cognizance of the same.

The activists also raised slogans against terrorism and apathetic attitude of the government against the displaced community.

All prominent leaders of the Kashmir Pandit organizations participated in the programme. They included Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo, President, Panun Kashmir, H.L.Chatta, General Secretary, ASKPC, D.N.Kissu, Chairman, NCMCC, R.K.Raina, Senior Vice President, ASKPC, Virender Raina, Sunil Dimple leader of Jammu West Assembly Movement.

I think, most of the Indians don’t know they have a holocaust day to celebrate. For those who don’t know, January 19 is the holocaust day of Indians.

23 years back, it was on that day your brothers, lakhs of Kashmiri Pandits were evacuated from their home land, Kashmir Valley, by the Pakistan sponsored terrorists.

Now, Kashmiri Pandits have completed the 23rd year of their forced exile. The story of Kashmiri Pandits, an ethnic group who have become refuges in their own land, is not-only one of the tear-jerking ones in independent India but also a mistreated one by the so-called secular government of the country.

We have heard about human rights violations confronted the Jews from Adolf Hitler, human rights violations in Palestine, human rights violations by the Lord Resistance Army of Uganda, violations in many countries such as Sri Lanka, Iran, Brazil, China…

When a communal riot broke out in Gujarat (India) in 2002 as an upshot of the killing of 59 Hindu Saints in Sabarmati Express (Godhra train carnage), then all human rights organizations across the globe made use of this incident to affront India in front of the world.

But they never speak on the genocide, the ethnic cleansing of Kashmiri Pandits from the Kashmir valley; they have a culpable silence on the human rights violations executing by the terrorists tutored by Pakistan.

After the end of 1989, over four lakh Kashmiri Pandits, living in Muslim best part area of the Kashmir, were ungenerously hollowed out of the valley by the Islamic terrorists.

They have been forced to live the life of exiles in their own country, outside their homeland, by unleashing an organized campaign of terror, murder, loot and arson.

Genocide of Kashmiri Pandits has reached at its zenith with Pak terrorism succeeding in cleansing the valley of this ancient ethno-religious Kashmiri Pandits community.

With the completion of 23rd year of their forced exile, this peace loving, culturally affluent community with a history of more than 5000 years is fighting a harsh battle to save itself from becoming extinct as a distinct race and culture in the midst of pseudo-secular politicians.

Why Swami Ramdev has been made a target of Fundamental Islamic attack time and again?

Yoga guru Baba Ramdev again became the target of an attack here in Delhi on Saturday (14-01-2012) when a Muslim man threw black ink on his face during a press conference. The man found with a walky-talky and a bottle of acid with him as flashed in the media. From this it is clear that Swami was saved from a possible acid attack.

The man named Kamran Siddiqui believed to be 35-36 years old was nabbed by Ramdev’s supporters and badly beaten up before being handed over to the police. He was placed under arrest following a medical examination.

Ramdev was talking about his future moves against corruption and black money at the press conference held at the Constitutional Club in the heart of the capital.

Siddique threw ink at Ramdev during the press conference at the Constitution Club this afternoon after the yoga guru refused to answer a question on Batla House encounter.

Siddiqui was rigid to have Ramdev’s opinion in the 2008 Batla House encounter in which suspects of the Delhi serial blasts were killed.

Ramdev’s right eye was blackened with ink by the man identified as Kamran Siddiqui, a resident of Delhi who is said to be running an NGO ‘Real Cause’ which is a petitioner in the Batla House encounter case.

The attacker, whose shirt was torn and removed, was seen bleeding from his lips. There was lot of jostling around when police escorted the yoga guru away from the club.

Jaideep, Ramdev’s close aide, claimed that Siddiqui had gained entry into the hall carrying a walkie talkie apparently posing as a security personnel. He also claimed that a bottle of acid was recovered from Siddiqui.

Ramdev, who immediately left the venue after the incident, said he had asked for the black money to be returned to the country but instead got black ink.

The incident above is not a new thing to the people along with a nationwide social and political repercussion of it.

Angry over the attack on Swami Ramdev and as retaliation the supporters of Baba Ramdevji today (16-01-2012) threw black ink on Sonia Gandhi’s poster outside the Congress headquarters here and clashed with party workers, earning disapproval of the yoga guru who condemned the act as “undemocratic and uncivilized”. Some people under the banner of Yuva Bharat and Kisan Panchayat gathered outside the Congress headquarters at 24, Akbar Road to protest the throwing of ink on the yoga guru here two days ago. They shouted slogans against party chief Sonia Gandhi and leaders Rahul Gandhi and Digvijay Singh and said they will not allow anyone to defame religious leaders. Some of them later threw black ink on a poster with Sonia’s image. Soon after the incident, Ramdev’s spokesperson said the yoga guru termed the act as “undemocratic and uncivilized”. “Such undemocratic and uncivilized methods of protest should not be encouraged. Such acts have no place in our rich culture and philosophy,” Ramdev was quoted as saying. “We neither support such undemocratic and uncivilized act nor are part of it,” the spokesperson said adding Ramdev was against any kind of violent or indecent methods of protest against anyone and urged people not to indulge in or promote such “indecent and ugly acts.”

As a matter of fact a man named Tribhuvan Singh, suspected and held as to brush up black paints in the banner of Sonia Gandhi, was beaten up by Congress supporters before police whisked him away.

But the main question from this context is grossly ignored by the secular media as their own fashion and choice to clutter.

They never question: Why Swami Ramdev has been made a target of Fundamental Islam time and again?

Yes. Swami Ramdev has been made a target of Fundamental Islam time and again.  Swami Ramdevji received several email and other threatening letters from the different Islamic terror groups as Swamiji vehemently opposes terrorist activities in India and demanded capital punishment to all terror and subversive elements against Mother India.

In this row, the present attacker, Kamran Siddiqui a confirmed supporter of Delhi serial attackers and petitioner-oppose to Batala encounter, wanted to harm Swami Ramdev posed as a prime force to build up public initiative to fight all terrorism and fundamental activities including vicious Islamic one.

But the Islamists have many reasons to attack Swami Ramdev, fortunately still not turned deadly enough.

In singing Vandematarm issue, Darul-uloom-Deoband opposed Swami Ramdev. They even issued fatwa against practicing Yog with chanting Om. Some Islam influenced foreign countries also put restriction upon practicing Yog by devout Muslims. The thin growing influence of Yog and Swami Ramdev over a section of patients belonging to Muslim community has been turned a point of permanent dissatisfaction of the Islamist in India and abroad.

Moreover, a champion propagator of vegetarianism and a strict opposition of cow slaughter, Swami Ramdev wants a total ban on cow slaughter in India. This is also an odd bone of contention between the Islamist and a staunch nationalist Swami Ramdev here.

Actually, we generally forget the main legacy of Swami Ramdev to asses him as a whole key of change in his statute of a present day seer and dear of Indian people. Swami Ramdev is a Sanyasi (sacrificed saint) of Arya Samaj order. After competing his eighth standard in Shahbajpur in Haryana Ram Krishn Yadav (pre name of Swami Ramdev) joined Aarsh Gurukul at Khanpur, where his first Gurudev (initiator in Brahmacharya Samaskara) Acharya Pradumn taught him Sanskrit and Yoga. Afterwards he went to Gurukul Kangri (most important Aarshya Gurkul for Higher Studies and Prominent University) for his higher studies. After receiving the teaching there from Acharya Baldevji (another Arya Samaj legend in these days), he entered Sannyas and changed his name to Swami Ramdev.

Arya Samaj was founded by Maharshi Dayanand (1824 – 1883) to reform the dependent and self-forgetful Indian Nation on the basis of Vedic culture with its scientific synthesis. He wrote Satyarth Prakash or the Light of Truth where he analyzed all the major ways of different religions and to rebuff  the untruth and impurities therein for establishing the real Dharma to make human being culturally and socially higheist and best in the motto of “Krinnantvu Viswaaryam”. In this book Satyarth Prakash, Swami Dayananda critically analyzed Islam and Quran (Chapter- XIV) and opposed the Islamic menace upon women and non-believers. For this Swami Dayananda was attacked by the respective goons. Again his successor Swami Shraddhananda was murdered by a Muslim assassinator for his famous Suddhi Yajna program (reconversion program to Hindu-Arya fold) in the year 1926. Then it is not a surprise that Swami Ramdev may be attacked by a Muslim assailant with dire consequences.

Hindu's unconditional love to Muslims does not give any guarantee for prevention of untoward attack furthermore.

One may question that many Muslim devotees of Swami Ramdev are ardent and nationalist. It should not be differed. But many of them do not believe in Om, Vande Mataram and ban on cow slaughter. Most of them come to Swami Ramdev for getting well in health, not for his profound nationalism or anti corruption and anti-terrorism movements. And many of them believe that Swami Ramdev may be a supporter of Islam as he gives references of Prophet Muhammad and Quran frequently.

But, Swmai Ramdev knows his limitations under compulsion that the Muslim supporters of Bharat Swabhiman or Pantanjali Yog Samiti are coming to him with negligible percentage with certain motive which is also resulting a dangerous effect of equating Veda and Quran in a very unjustified way.

Muslim perpetrators know these entire well and they are always planning new attack upon Swami Ramdev. Swami Ramdev should be cautious for that. His followers also protest and protect, but in the periphery of arya maryada (cultural dignity), might and right.

From the Press Release it is known that the 200 years old SREE SREE RADHA KANTO JEO TEMPLE at 222 Lal Mohan Saha Street, Sutrapur, Dhaka, Bangladesh was established by one rich Hindu business man named Mathura Sha Banik in his own land for the purpose of the Seva & Puja (daily offering and services to the God deity) of his ancestral deity of SREE SREE RADHA KANTO DEV JEO, but he could not be able to register the landed property in due time in the name of Revered Deity due to his sudden death. Afterwards, his four sons Gobinda, Ananda, Moni Mohan & Nadia Chand duly registered all these 22 Cottha of land to the Deity Divine as Devettor Property on 11/09/1889 through a Deed bearing No. 2735. Form then an un-interrupted Puja has been conducting with full veneration and active participation of all concerned.

But, since 2008, some notorious Islamist groups headed by the land shark and terrorists like Hazi Islam, Sarowar Hossian Alo, Ibrahim Molla, Arif Mallu have jointly been trying to grab many Hindu Shrines and its property in Dhaka (Capital of Bangladesh), old Dhaka area and adjacent places by ransacking the Hindu temples, bombing and looting of Hindu properties time and again. The perpetrators made fake deeds to capture the SREE SREE RADHA KANTO JEO TEMPLE and attacked the temple and its inmates on 11-08-2010 with bomb sword and other lethal weapons. A diary was also made then for the protection of the Temple properties and its inmates. It may be mentioned that the world famous Hindu Organization and prime Vaishnava Order ISKCON is presently looks after the premises of this complex and consequently ISKCON is also being targeted by the Muslim fundamentalist with a deadly design.

In March 2011, the land sharks threatened that Hindu Temples will not be allowed in Islamic Republic Bangladesh, and Hindus cannot be allowed for any religious program publicly henceforth. The resident Hindus and many Hindu organizations retaliated then vehemently and registered a diary for this in Ramna Model Police Station vides GD NO. 1842 dt. 28.03.2011. But the threatening is still going on and the present BD Govt rather is allowing the land shark Muslim Fundamentalists by not arresting them to stop teir designs to capture many heritage and old Hindu Shrines at Goal Ghat, Jolapur, Ranking Street, Woari and Tipu Sultan Road. It is reported that the present “Sanai Community Center” of Hazi Islam at Woari area is built after a force encroachment of Manik Ghosh Trust property. The Sankha Nidhi Temple complex of Tipu Sultan Road or the ISKCON complex at Swamibag Road are also under the scanner of these fundamental Islamic groups who want to drive away all Hindus from Bangladesh under a severe persecution and conspiracy of ethnic cleansing.

But with the protest of today, the Govt. of Bangladesh can take justified steps to protect the religious rights of non Muslim minority if they think fit to do so.

HE News Desk || 13th January, 2012 : “Ganga Sagar Mela” is a grand festival observed by followers of Sanatana Hindu Dharma with millions assembling to take a holy bath on Makara Sankranti day. One of the oldest pilgrimage in the Indian chronology always welcomes everyone to the huge and colorful gathering from every corner of India and abroad even where the Hindu devotees reside   during this festival, where more than five  lakh pilgrims being served prasadam and shelter amidst overwhelming Hindu religious activities, shraddhas and  kirtan Different Hindu Organizations like ISKCON, Bharat Sevashram Sangha, Ramakrishna Mission, Arya Samaj other social & voluntary organizations hold  camps from 13th to 15th January and share the wonderful experience of serving the pilgrims at holy Ganga Sagar. In my face book page I wanted to know that: Year long celebration (12-01-2012 ~to~ 12-01-2013) will start on tomorrow timeline for the 150th Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, the Greatest Humanist and the Hindu Monk of Modern Times. How do you think to pay homage to this Great son of Mother India?

One of my friend, Raja Nambiar from Bangalore replied without delay that: “Best wishes on Celebrations of Gurudev’s 150th Birth Anniversary ….!! OM !!”

Holding the truth that Nambiar considers Swamiji as his Gurudev and certainly will arrange candles, aroma sticks, fruits, sweets, flowers (may not Cigar and chocolate as offered in Belur Math in Swamiji’s birthday with other items) for a homely grandeur, I reacted :

‎”@ Raja Nambiar : Om ! Namastee !! You are senior than me. Your DOB is January 20, 1961. Correct. Me January 20, 1965. Your span of life is chanced to observe the 100 the anniversary (1963), 125 th anniversary (1988), 150 th anniversary (2013) and I shall observe two more : 175 th anniversary (2038) and 200 th anniversary (2063)…. What do you feel that change Swamiji hoped and sacrificed His life for our MOTHERLAND? Don’t take it otherwise for the maximum it is a item for a program, subject for a lecture or to use a good mask for hiding many things. Please raise only one slogan: BACK TO VIVEKANANDA. “

After that I seriously tried to find out the book Back to Vivekananda written by Swami Nityaswarupananda. But found nowhere.

In the web searching I got a thread in a book, Swami Vivekananda in India: A corrective biography (page-332) by  Rajagopal Chattopadhyaya. In its chapter titled as ~ Review of ‘Back to Vivekananda’

“This 114 page book was written by Swami Nityaswarupananda (N), who founded the Ramakrishna Mission Institute o Culture, Calcutta, in 1938. It was written when N was nearing his end (1991), had become disgusted with the Belur Math authorities but did not care about the consequences o writing this book. It is about the state of the Ramakrishna Math and Mission as viewed by one of its senior monks, a self-appraisal and a note of warning.

The three documents having to do with the operation of the organization are reproduced in full in the appendix (page 77-114) : 1. Rules and Regulations of the Ramakrishna Math, Belur, framed by Swamiji in 1898. 2. Debuttar Deed and Declaration of Trust, dated January 30, 1901 and 3. Rules and Regulations of the Ramakrishna Math revised in 1970. Of these first has been published in the Complete  Works. The second was meant to serve and fulfil a legal requirement, to effect the legal transfer o property by Swamiji to the Trustees of the Math. The rules and regulation of 1970 claim to Swami Vivekananda’s trust deed.

More interesting than the rules themselves are N’s comments and analyses. He shows that the quality and fraternity among the monastic members enshrined in the 1898 rules have been reduced by the 1970 rules which gave undue powers to the trustees who govern the fellow monks. N wrote that according to Swami Vivekananda, ‘Truth and Truth alone preserves an organization, and it follows that adherence to truth alone can sustain it, keep it ever living and fresh …’ (page 15). N also writes ‘The problems of vain self deception, complacent self-satisfaction, and a diminished spiritual intensity are undermining the essential function of the Organization and its capacity for spiritual leadership and teaching.’ (page 23). N writes there are innumerable instances of loss of devotion to truth and of “shopkeeping” for worldly expediency. He gives two examples, of which the first is the trust of the Yogodyan Math (page 24). ‘.. The Ramakrishna Yogodyan Math was transferred by its Trustees to the Trustees of Ramakrishna Math, Belur, and incorporated into it as its branch for its future maintenance on certain definite, specific and fully accepted conditions. The first and foremost condition was that, within the Math or anywhere within its precincts, indulging in eating fish, meat or any kind of intoxicant substance will remain strictly, religiously and absolutely prohibited… The Trustees of Ramakrishna Math proved themselves to be veritable traitors to the Yogodyan Math Trust and, ipso facto, to the Ramakrishna Math, Belur, by their most utterly senseless, unscrupulous and passionate indulgence in eating fish, egg etc., within in the Yogodyan Math and its precincts.  It must be remembered that the Yogodyan Math is the first Ramkrishna Math… ‘. The second instance has to do with the Upendranath Deb Trust property at 5, Dehi Entally Road, Calcutta. The Trust stipulated that the property will be designated as “Ramakrishna Sevashram”, whereas in violation of this condition it has been designated as “Advaita Ashram”.

N further writes that the Trustees from the coteries of persons of their choice, arrogate to themselves special arrangements for sitting together in the first row of seats in the dining hall, with special dishes to be served. N describes it as a vicious scene. He also writes that the Trustees claim a special status and declare their sole authority to conduct the organization. N is infuriated that the Trustees declare that they can “hold any member by the ear and remove him from one place to another as and when they think necessary”. ……….

Yes, all these are written in the book Swami Vivekananda in India: A corrective biography (page-332) by Rajagopal Chattopadhyaya in its chapter titled as Review of ‘Back to Vivekananda’.

As a matter of fact I searched this book again and again and found nowhere in the market and not even in any libraries. But how it is now vanished from everywhere?

As far I am reported that the Great Ramakrishna Mission operators lifted all the available copies from every corners as they had nothing to say or write for combating the force of truth in the book ‘Back to Vivekananda’ by none other than Swami Nityaswarupananda MaharajJi, the founder Secretary of the world famous Ramakrishna Mission Institute of Culture, Golpark, Calcutta and the champion Vedantist  of Ramkrishna order.  Actually getting no place to hide their violation, simply some saffron clad monks tactfully hided all the copies of this book ‘Back to Vivekananda’.

The motivation was very clear while Ramakrishna Mission went up to the Supreme Court of India to have its minority status negating HINDU ORDER by holding a ridiculous Ramkrisnaite sect and even a Ramakrisnalok in the heaven somewhere beside Brahmalok, Golok, Shibalok, etc. However, the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India saved the situation by giving one type stricture to the propagator of such minority status that Swami Vivekananda was the Champion of Hinduism, world famous as “The Cyclonic Hindu Monk of India” and Mother Kali, Bhagaban Ramakrishna, Vedanta everything was  included in Hinduism and the cynicism in the satiated minority sense was a very sign of weakness and contraction opposed both to Vedanta and Vivekananda by the R K Mission monks.

As a seer Swami NityaswarupanandaJi apprehended these things and tried to save the Mission in spirituality and ideals as propounded by Swami Vivekananda but the contemporary administrators in R K Math and Mission virtually thrown out the suggestion of this seer setting its ultimate goal ‘Back to Vivekananda’.

The autocrat monks in the power in R K Math and Mission rampantly censored the writing and speeches of Swami Vivekananda (just see the differences between the complete works of Swamiji time to time), secularization of sacredness of Ideals of Thakur, Maa and Swamiji, suppressing all the revolutionary spirit against vilification of Hindutva, corruption, morbidity of mass in cultural crisis and growing menace of Islam and Christianity in India. Swamiji established Ramakrishna Math and Mission to resist and rectify this entire problem before us and now that Math and Mission have rejected all these from its present agenda .

Amount of more  than 100 crores are coming to Mission to celebrate year long (12-01-2012 to 12-01-2013) 150^th Birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda. It will be spent. Spent as earlier in the 100 th anniversary (1963), 125 th anniversary (1988). And will be spent in 150 th anniversary (2013), 175 th anniversary (2038) and 200 th anniversary (2063). But the situation will remain unchanged or may be worst further.  And if really want to change this situation we must ‘Back to Vivekananda’.

Holding the final faith on Swamiji we can recite and act accordingly with the hymns of Swadesh Mantra :

SWADESH MANTRA ~ Swami Vivekananda

O India ! With this mere echoing of others, with this base imitation of others, with this dependence on others, this slavish weakness, this vile detestable cruelty — wouldst thou, with these provisions only, scale the highest pinnacle of civilisation and greatness? Wouldst thou attain, by means of thy disgraceful cowardice, that freedom deserved only by the brave and the heroic?

O India ! Forget not that the ideal of thy womanhood is Sita, Savitri, Damayanti;

forget not that the God thou worshippest is the great Ascetic of ascetics, the all-renouncing Shankara, the Lord of Uma;

forget not that thy marriage, thy wealth, thy life are not for sense-pleasure, are not for thy  individual personal happiness;

forget not that thou art born as a sacrifice to the Mother’s altar;

forget not that thy social order is but the reflex of the Infinite Universal Motherhood;

forget not that the lower classes, the ignorant, the poor, the illiterate, the cobbler, the sweeper, are thy flesh and blood, thy brothers.

Thou brave one, be bold, take courage, be proud that thou art an Indian, and proudly proclaim, “I am an Indian, every Indian is my brother.” Say, “The ignorant Indian, the poor and destitute Indian, the Brahmin Indian, the Pariah Indian, is my brother.”

Thou, too, clad with but a rag round thy loins proudly proclaim at the top of thy voice: “The Indian is my brother, the Indian is my life, India ’s gods and goddesses are my God. India ’s society is the cradle of my infancy, the pleasure-garden of my youth, the sacred heaven, the Varanasi of my old age.”

Say, brother; “The soil of India is my highest heaven, the good of India is my good,” and repeat and pray day and night..  “O Thou Lord of Gauri, O Thou Mother of the Universe, vouchsafe manliness unto me! O Thou Mother of Strength, take away my weakness, take away my unmanliness, and make me a Man!”

Indian breed Cows are most beneficial than foreign breeds. Holy Indian Cow breeds give us healthier, life-saving, most fortified and nectar like milk. Actually the cow progeny was considered as Cow-Wealth and it was considered as the back bone of Indian agriculture, health, economy and cultural development. Cows are considered so holy to all Arya-Hindu roots for ever and not to be killed anyway for any purpose. But for dismantle the Indian system, foreign breeds/products are imported in every respect for seed, cows, fertilizers, pesticides, day-to-day consumer products to weaken us in every foot-step. Why should we accept foreign things, while we may produce best from our soil and toil? Please take the vow to accept SWADESHI (Indigenous Breeds/Products) and arouse SWABHIMAN (Self Reliance) to make our MOTHERLAND as “World Mother” and the “Viswa Guru” (World Teacher). Cattle class: native vs exotic

Kerala is feeling the ill-effects of an official policy that favoured disease-prone crossbreeds over low-maintenance native breeds.

Visitors flow in and out of Chandran Master’s compound in P. Vemballur, Thrissur, Kerala. Students, teachers, trainees in animal husbandry work and even officials walk around like it’s a public space. And in some ways, it is. People come a distance to see his 22 cows and two bulls — mostly from rare indigenous breeds. Also, the many kinds of mango, bamboo and fish he has cultivated, again species native to India. The former English teacher also boasts a classic Kathiawari horse and several native breeds of poultry. But the star attractions are the tiny Vechur — “the world’s smallest cow” — and other dwarf varieties of Kerala cattle.

The visitors’ interest also reflects a growing concern in the State about the fate of domestic breeds of cattle and other livestock. Like elsewhere, a strong emphasis on crossbred cattle that aimed at higher milk production also saw a sharp decline in native animals. There is now a serious debate on the results of that approach. Kerala’s cattle population declined by around 48 per cent between 1996 and 2007.

CHANGED STANCE

Dr. R. Vijayakumar, Director of Kerala’s Animal Husbandry Department (AHD), says the State’s new breeding policy “limits exotic [that is, non-native] germplasm to 50 per cent of cattle. We are now also propagating native breeds. We even conduct artificial insemination with the semen of native bulls.” And while the number of animals may have fallen between 1996 and 2007, “milk productivity of cows in the State rose in that period. From an average of six litres a day to 8.5 litres, even as crossbreeds came to account for 87 per cent of Kerala’s cattle.”

However, the cost of milk production is much higher with the crossbreeds. The feed requirement of native dwarf breeds like Vechur and Kasargode are very minor. Their feed-to-milk conversion is very good. The crossbreeds are high-maintenance animals and are disease-prone. “See this Vadakara Dwarf,” says Chandran Master. “I doubt I spend five to ten rupees on her feed daily. Still she gives me three to four litres. But the quality of her milk is highly prized and I could get Rs.50 a litre for it. So even in that way, the benefit is greater. There is no high standard of feed required either. Kitchen scraps and leftovers can be used. And they don’t require special sheds or anything.” He, however, does not sell milk. He does sell “very few calves each year when the numbers exceed my capacity to manage.”

Of the Vechur, he says its milk has medicinal qualities recorded by Ayurveda ages ago. In more recent times, studies at the Kerala Agricultural University have also shown the percentage of fats and total solids of the Vechur cow to be higher than that found in crossbred cows. The smaller size of the fat globules in the Vechur’s milk makes it more suitable for infants and the sick.

AHD Director R. Vijayakumar says the decline of native species had many causes. Not just the castrations of ‘non-descript’ varieties that had occurred in a much earlier period. He points to “the trend towards cash crops which brought about a decline in animal-based agriculture and to a younger generation of farmers with no time or patience for rearing large animals — they prefer smaller ruminants. And to a greater interest in crossbreeds due to their higher milk productivity.”

HARDY AND HEALTHY

But costs and maintenance are another matter. “Before I switched to local breeds in 1994,” says Chandran Master, “I had three crossbreds, including one Swiss Brown. I had to spend up to Rs.400 a day on each. The feed was very costly and over Rs.200 a day. Pellet feed, rice powder, wheat powder, oil cake, green grass, it’s endless. They would fall ill all the time and the vet was here every week, with each visit costing me Rs.150 apart from the expense of arranging a vehicle for him.”

Since making his switch: “No vet has attended my cows for 17 years. And I have not even insured a single one of them. These are hardy, healthy creatures.” And several experts do point out that India’s native cattle (Bos indicus) have evolved to cope with the climate and to “withstand diseases, parasites and calve easily without human assistance.” Scientists like Dr. Sosamma Iype, who pioneered the revival of the Vechur at KAU, also point out that these dwarf animals “have good resistance to foot and mouth disease and mastitis. Both, diseases which plague crossbred cows in Kerala. Vechur cattle also have a far lower incidence of respiratory infections.”

Most livestock owners in Kerala are either small or marginal farmers or even landless. The State has the highest percentage of crossbreeds in the country. And while its average milk yield has risen, production is far below demand. The State is not amongst the top producers in the country. Feed utilisation per litre of milk is also one of the highest in India. Critics say it’s wrong to ignore the steep fall in cattle numbers and native breeds that has hurt the State, alongside decades-old policies that made it illegal for a farmer to keep any bull without a licence for it. That licence is only granted at the level of State Director of the AHD.

Technically, Chandran Master and others are breaking the law. But surely the State has no way of knowing whether a farmer is keeping an “illegal” bull? “A hostile panchayat can make life hell for a farmer,” says one expert. “If that farmer is at odds with the ruling outfit of that panchayat, they can keep him in court for months.”

RED TAPE NIGHTMARE

Haritha Bhoomi (Green Earth) a journal on agriculture recently summed up the red tape involved in permissions of any kind: Say a farmer wishes to exceed the limit of six large animals and 20 head of poultry, even by a minor number. He needs clearances from the panchayat to just start the process. If you exceed the quota, you have to go to the Pollution Control Board. Depending on the size of the establishment you wish to build, you will need certificates from the District Town Planner. Perhaps even from the State Chief Town Planner. Manage to get these done and you have to prepare a technical report for the panchayat and get three or four certificates from them. Then the farmer must get clearances from the district medical officer to whom he has to submit NOCs from all residents within 100 metres of his planned farm.

On my first visit to Chandran Master’s home I had run into a Livestock Inspector (LI) from another region. Wishing to remain unnamed, he told me “On most of my visits I see the problems faced by the crossbreeds. They fall ill with the slightest change in climate. They cannot take the heat.” Chandran Master chipped in: “You cannot sleep one night peacefully. Crossbreds can’t stand ten minutes of rain. With local breeds, you don’t even need cowsheds.” The LI nodded: “If I keep a cow, it will be a Vechur.”
