A sharp New Age Hindutva surfaced in India disgracing all organizational inertia and opportunist hegemony.

Through internet I came to know that one Hindu organization named ” HINDU SAMHATI” is going to hold a big Hindu rally in Kolkata (The Capital center of Eastern India) for celebrating its 2nd foundation anniversary befittingly.

From United Kingdom it is difficult to assess the potency and prospect gained from such rally or the consolidation of Hindu Unity for the next struggle due for Hindu Existence highly questioned in different parts of the world now a days.

For a detailed information of this organization ” HINDU SAMHATI”,  I searched a lot in the Google and other servers and got several interesting threads which can link up various new endevours for boosting up the current Hindu movements in different parts of India, which can be termed as NEW AGE HINDUTVA for a good understanding. With in a very short timings, the trend of  accepting challenges before the common Hindu people as generated by these NEW AGE HINDUTVA  GROUPS are catering new hopes and supports to the struggling Hindus against Muslims, Chiristian, Anti-Hindu Politics and obviously against the dilemma of  conventional Hindu Organisations deep-seated in ‘innovative inertia’.

I took the chance to converse a while with Tapan Ghosh, President of Hindu Samhati, but his cell was always busy or out of reach. Perhaps he was on another line or he was on tour in a remote place under the network of New Age Hindutva. Fortunately, I talked to Upananda Brahmachari, one of the Vice Presidents of Hindu Samhati, who confirmed the huge Hindu rally with thousands of Samhati activists and common Hindu supporters, who will pass a resolution on that day to throw out all the anti-Hindu forces from the soil of West Bengal to save the Hindu dignity, Hindu land, Hindu women, Hindu economy and Hindu sentiment (ban on cow-slaughter) from the grip of  anti-Hindu conspiracy. Brhamachari said that no persecutor shall be spared anyway anymore. Hindus will not tolerate any torture upon Hindu society. It is the duty of the Hindus to protect unitedly their Swadharma without any fear.

Actually the New Age Hindutva shapes in a spontaneous basis as it is seen in Amarnath  Shrine Movement in J&K, Swami Laxmanananda Murder in Orrissa, Malegaon Blast Case in Maharashtra, in the movements of Sri Rama Sene of Promod Mutalik or in the movement of Hindu Makkal Katchi of Arjun Sampat and obviously the Hindu Janajagruti Samity in Maharashtra. No big Hindu organisations or any political party do not claim the credit of these movements of  Hindus as spreaded in the course of Hindu spontaneity and splendor. Hindus find new generation Hindu leaders to sharpen their weapons to fight unto last. This is the story of surfacing a New Age Hindutva in India. We should salute the rising sun of  HINDU SAMHATI in the east within this New Age Hindutva.

The Chairman of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party-Nepal Mr. Kamal Thapa has dubbed the High Level Political Mechanism-HLPM as an alliance between those who were the victims of Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal and Nepal’s southern neighbor, India.

Very interesting observation indeed!

“The HLPM has been strategically structured to derail the current government and extend the tenure of the Constituent Assembly for sure”, also said Thapa who is taken as the lone crusader of the revival of the now sidelined Nepal Monarchy.

The uninterrupted loyalty factor.

He said, “This conspiracy would lead the country to a bloody civil war and eventually split of the country.”

“There is also the threat of direct foreign interference if we fail to manage the country properly”, said Thapa while addressing his cadres in Kalaiya of Bara district, February 2, 2010.

Thapa also told the Madhesi population that referendum was needed to decide the fate of Hindu State, Constitutional Monarchy and Federalism.

“How can few political parties hold closed door meet and decide all of a sudden that the country has become a secular one”, Thapa questioned.

Sounds logical!

“After the country was declared a Secular Republic, some 1 Million plus Hindus have already been converted to Christianity”, Thapa said adding, “In fifty years time, Nepal will have completely lost its Hindu identity.”

Nepal was the only Hindu Rashtra in the World. But the Maoists wiped the Hindu identity from Nepal with the connivance of the Muslims and Christians to make the State of their own. There are 53 Muslim countries in this world and 42 Christian countries in that series, but there is no Hindu State for nearing a 100 crores Hindus in this World. The Christians have a subtle plan to double the conversion of Hindus in Nepal. And the Muslims have the plan to run Jihadi activities to frighten the Hindus of Nepal. Some months ago a Muslim Female Minister of Nepal slapped a senior administrative officer publicly for a trifling matter without any redressal. In Arab or Vatican Hindus have no rights. But they get every right to destroy Hinduism in Nepal and India. This should be stopped at any cost. Hindus of the World unite to fight the Islamic and Christian Communalism. Hinduism is the most tolerant religion that is why it ends up being bullied every-time. It is not only the Christians but Muslims take most advantage of secularism too. Western countries are also waking up up to the other threat of secularism. Time and again they highlight this on TV. Western countries however have the means and preparedness to undo the damage anytime. For Nepal this change would be irreversible. It is such a sad news that those Hindus who are illiterate and simple minded are easily tricked by words of the missionaries. All of these people convert to get a better life and think that somehow being christian means more money. They fail to see that Christianity is a sexist religion. Females cannot be priest of pope Their God is always HIM. Their religion is intolerant. Hinduism is the only religion which honour womanhood. We pray to goddesses and attribute love, wealth, wisdom to womanhood. It is such a shame. It is also a shame that Indians are into bullying Nepal. disregarding the greater interest of Hinduism. We hindus never got united for this purpose like the Christians and the Muslims do. Such a shame!. Hope monarchy is restored in Nepal. A massive wave of Hindus in India and Nepal for a Hindu Nepal would be a pride for all Hindus world over. India should help us in this regard. Those SSBs who torture and occupy our lands are also fellow Hindu brothers. This was never the Hindu way. Let us all unite to preserve our identity before it is too late.

In reply to A.S.Mathew’s comment,I would like to say that the statement made by Mathew is nothing but a blatant lie. Jesus or the Christianity is never be, “abundant life to anybody without a penny”. Everybody knows that the budget of 1000 million dollars to convert this Indian sub-continent into Christianity in next two years, as much as possible. Everybody knows the lavish life and debauchery of Christian Nun and Fathers. Are they the preachers of Jesus or Humanity? The Christian Networks are exploiting the poverty and illiteracy of the innocent people. Actually they are nearest to the Church but farthest from the God. Beware this kind of lairs like Mr. A.S.Mathew, who are the agents of Christian Colonial System. They should be ousted from Nepal immediately.

Those people who are perplexed and alarmed by the number of people following Christianity has to understand that, it is not changing to an alien religion, but those people found somebody who is living to follow; his name is JESUS CHRIST. White people invented secularism to rule the world through capitalism. They have succeeded to a great extent. They now rule both through christianity and capitalism. The solution for Nepal is very simple. Communism( Vedic  Equality  in a new synthesis of Dialectical Materialism*) +Hindu Monarchy. I would urge all nationalists to unite in this regard and dont be foolhardy. Otherwise we would live to regret it forever.

Wine Mandela ’s (Nelson Mandela’s ex. wife) grand mother told her, when she was a child, ” Whites came to our country with bible in hand, but we had land , and they converted us to Christianity and gave us too bible. Now we have bible but no land”. Nepalese who converted to Christianity in the grid of money or fooled by some bastards that, will get rid of problems, illness etc. Now, after converting are they not falling ill ? They do not have problems? They do not die?

Only uneducated and stupid’s can change their belief. I have seen in rural Nepal, the so called new Christian bastards convince the uneducated villagers as ” If you become Christian, all the problems like poverty, disease will be vanished” and give money as well. If this is the case why in Africa, where majority of population is Christian so much of poverty and disease exists? Study the condition of Christians in Muslim world. If Christianity is the solution why In American continent and Europe there are so many problems? From which country HIV ADIS started, and where are the majority of population is effected? Where shooting in the schools and colleges happens almost every day? Is Christianity solution? Yes they are rich but are they happy? Did Hindu religion prohibited any Muslims, Buddhists or Christian to go to prayers to their mosque or Temple or Church? Did this religion prohibited other religions? Broken family, divorce , violence are the main features of Christian world. Those people, who were born as Hindus could not understand this most liberal religion, and now what the hell will they understand about Christianity?

The Hindus will worry only when everything is gone. No point fighting for the religion which has gutless followers. Even if these mad Girija + Sujata one day sell Pashupati mandir, these Hindu followers will keep quiet. Now that our country is a secular, cow killing will be allowed by Supreme court on name of non-discrimination, if some one goes to the court. Our grand children will be telling this story to their grandchildren………… long time back there was a country named Nepal, where a king ruled and his people were Hindus ( grand children- what is Hindu ? )

Kamal Thapa is 100% right about the conversion of Hindus to Christianity. Last year on the day of Shivaratri some people were distributing the paper about the Bible and Jesus( convincing people) in Gaushala on the way to Pashupatinath. I was really shocked and got amazed to see the tolerance of the Hindus. Just imagine this things happening during Christmas in front of any Church in USA or UK. Anyone will be killed if u go and say about Gita near to any Mosque in any Islamist country. Just shame on us…

A fourth generation descendant of Tamil indentured labour, P Uthayakumar, HINDRAF legal adviser and secretary-general, Human Rights Party of Malaysia, has returned from New Delhi’s Pravasi Bharatiya Divas jamboree to face trial for ‘sedition’, a charge made by the ruling United Malay National Organisation regime.

Advocates Uthayakumar and M Manoharan spent 514 days in Kamunting Jail under the draconian Internal Security Act for leading the spectacular one-lakh-strong HINDRAF rally of 2008, which demanded equal citizenship rights for Malaysian Hindus and opposed the ethnic cleansing of Tamil Hindus in that Islamic country. If convicted, the duo could face a three-year prison term, a real possibility given the nature of the Malaysian judiciary and the studied indifference of the token creamy layer of establishment Hindus.

The Hindu organisation has been banned since, though it poses no threat to Malaysian social or political stability. As India’s human rights ‘industry’ only serves Western geo-political interests, it cannot be expected to speak up for suffering Malay Hindus. Hence New Delhi should take up the matter with Kuala Lumpur and urge it to permit HINDRAF(Hindu Rights Action Front) to work as a non-governmental minorities and human rights organisation.

Sadly, the HINDRAF leaders who came here to present the Malaysian Indian Minority & Human Rights Violations Annual Report 2009, Malaysia Truly Racist, received only a perfunctory hearing by official New Delhi.

The HINDRAF & HRP(HUMAN RIGHTS PARTY) leaders urged Foreign Minister SM Krishna to diplomatically espouse the cause of the Indian minority which the Malaysian Government is subjecting to systemic racist, religious extremist, and supremist policies that keep 70 per cent of Indians desperately poor and outside the national mainstream development. As Malaysia’s Prime Minister Najib Razak is coming to India with a trade mission on January 19, a firm word from New Delhi could have a timely impact.

Mr Uthayakumar laments that Indians are denied equality and equal opportunities in direct contravention of Articles 8 and 12 of the Malaysian Federal Constitution, created by the founding fathers. Today, the state has denied birth certificates and citizenship documents to nearly 300,000 minority Indians; hence they cannot secure admission to kindergarten and primary schools, deserving students are denied places in elite schools and institutions of higher learning, loans and scholarships, and licences to do trades and related occupations.

He informed the Foreign Minister that Hindu temples, schools, burial grounds, or settlements are regularly demolished or relocated arbitrarily; poor and landless Indians excluded from agricultural land schemes; Indians denied top jobs in Government, corporate and business sectors.

So horrendous is the discrimination that Indians are arrested without cause and released only when no charges can be framed against them; over 90 per cent deaths in police custody are of Hindus. Every week, 1.3 persons on average are shot by the police; 95 per cent are Hindus. A staggering 70 per cent of Indian Malaysians have been reduced to hardcore poor, poor or working class, with 90 per cent being in the daily or monthly wage-earning category. As the racism and religious persecution is all state-sponsored — ordinary Hindus have no problems with ordinary Malay Muslims — there is a strong case for the Government of India to take up the human rights violations and religious freedoms of these besieged Hindus.

One of the worst problems is forced conversions to Islam, which has become particularly acute since 2001, despite the provision for freedom of religion entrenched in Article 11 in the Malaysian Constitution. A recent case that has shaken the country involves a 27-year-old Tamil Hindu, Bangaramma, who was converted as a minor in a Government orphanage and registered as a Muslim without her knowledge. She continued to regard herself as a Hindu, worshipping and marrying a Hindu in a temple, according to Vedic rites.

Bangaramma is now fighting for her religious freedom in order to live as a Hindu with her Hindu husband and two children, as the Government is refusing to register her marriage and to acknowledge her husband as father of her children. Worse, she is being threatened with the charge of apostasy, which in Islamic Malaysia means she can be forcibly separated from her husband and children (aged two and seven). It is obvious that the whole controversy is aimed at forcing the entire family to accept Islam.

Another acute problem is the deliberate attempt to reduce the number of Hindu professionals in the country. At independence, innumerable top Government jobs were held by education Hindus, but gradually Hindus are being frustrated in their quest for higher education. Some of the reputed, and relatively cheaper, medical institutions in Russia, China and East Asia have been de-recognised by the Government so that Hindus cannot practice medicine when they return to the country. The number of medical seats for Hindus was reduced from 16 to one in 2004 (out of 2,000).

Students also need a Government no-objection certificate to study overseas, and this is another obstacle. Leaders of HINDRAF have urged the Government of India to stop offering medical seats to Malaysia on a Government-to-Government basis, and to grant the seats directly to Malaysian Indian students alone. This is a legitimate request, and the task can be easily executed via the Indian High Commission in Kuala Lumpur. India could also consider scholarships for Malaysian Indian students wishing to pursue other professional courses such as pharmacy, IT, and such.

More direct pressure can be exerted by sourcing India’s imports of palm oil from Indonesia instead of Malaysia; curbing further Indian investments and discouraging Indian IT professionals from working in Malaysia; and, choosing to work with Malaysian corporations with a decent Indian Malaysian equity participation or employment of Indian Malaysians, especially at the top level.

Meanwhile, the BJP has a long way to go in its quest to rediscover traditional political values. Mr Uthayakumar unhappily observed that New Delhi only cares for the rich diaspora, from whom it solicits investments. Thus, it came as no surprise to learn that while the savvy Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi assured HINDRAF he was aware of the plight of poor and working class Malaysian Indians and would champion their cause in India and with Kuala Lumpur, the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Ms Sushma Swaraj, expressed astonishment at their plight, though HINDRAF had come to India with a human rights violations report in 2008 as well.

Hon’ble Calcutta High Court rejected the bail of Muslim Kidnapper who tried to legalize his mischievous marriage to a minor Hindu girl by illegal conversion.

HinduExistence Correspondent from KOLKATA : On Wednesday, 27th January,2010, the division bench of Justice Pinaki Chandra Ghose and Justice Prasenjit Mandal in Hon’ble Calcutta High Court rejected the bail plea of  Aajit Ali who tried to legalize his mischievous marriage to a minor Hindu girl by illegal conversion.

The Government counsel and the Police pleader argued and demanded that  a marriage with a converted Hindu girl of minor age  is fully illegal even under ’shariat nikah’ when a minor Hindu girl cannot be converted into Islam under her whim without the consent of her parents.

Aajit Ali married a converted Moumita Chakroborty on 06th November last year, in her fifteen years age alluring someway after kidnapped Moumita from her residence at Daspur at East Midnapur, West Bengal. To fulfill his wish to enjoy a Hindu girl of minor age Aajit made a plot to convert Moumita into Islam without any consent of the parents of the kidnapped girl. Aajit claimed that Moumita is aged 19 and she is converted as Aziza. So Aziza Bibi is no more Moumita Chakroborty.

Getting no trace of his dauther, father of Moumita registered a FIR on 19th December 2009, to rescue her daughter from the grip of Aajit at an early date. Apprehending  police in action,  Aajit prayed an anticipatory bail in Calcutta High Court and the court ordered to appear both Aajit and Moumita in person on……. Aajit appeared in the court with a borquah clad Moumita to conceal her actual age. But some early reports from the newspaper made some confusions about granting the bail by the Hon’ble in favour of the offender.

The Government counsel Mr Ashimesh Goswami pleaded in the Hon’ble Court very strongly that according to law Moumita is well minor in age. Moumita a student of sixth standard of high school cannot exceed 14 or 15 years anyway. And a Hindu minor girl can never convert herself in other religion on her own in such a way.  So the activities of Aajit is obviously illegal and of criminal nature.

Hearing both the parties, the respective Division Bench of Justice P C Ghose and Justice P Mandal rejected the bail plea of Aajit Ali.

Now, Police can arrest Aajit for his criminal nature and offences made against existing laws.

Krishna Avanti primary opens its doors to media as founders propose £30m single-faith secondary in London or Leicester

Some of the things that set Krishna Avanti apart from other primary schools are its yoga sessions, green credentials, an exclusively Hindu intake and vegetarian menu. But the most striking difference is at the centre of the building: a temple carved from Makrana marble, the same material used to build the Taj Mahal.

Today, Krishna Avanti opened its responsibly sourced doors for the media to take a look around Britain’s first state-backed Hindu school, which comes complete with shrines, a meditation garden and Vastu Shastra – a Vedic design system applied especially to temples.

Nitesh Gor, chair of the governors, says around 200 people in the Indian town of Makrana worked on the school’s centrepiece, carving out scenes from the Bhagavad Gita, a sacred Hindu scripture, before it was shipped over in boxes to the north London borough of Harrow.

The temple is eye-catching, and so too is the ambition of the I-Foundation, the charity behind Krisnha Avanti. It wants to expand across the country because, it says, it is “patently unfair” that Hindus in Britain do not have schools of their own while Jews, Christians, Muslims and Sikhs do.

It is proposing a secondary school costing up to £30m that would cater for up to 600 pupils, with the ability to expand to 900, plus a sixth form. Gor, flanked by the headteacher, Naina Parmar, defends the use of £11.1m of taxpayer money to fund the single-faith primary. The remaining £2.4m came from community contributions.

“Hindus also pay taxes and the fact is that they should also have a faith school. The number of faith schools for Hindu is far less proportionate when you compare it to the number of schools that other groups have. There is a disadvantage. It is the responsibility of local authorities and the government to act fairly towards faith schools,” Gor says.

The primary will soon be five times oversubscribed. The I-Foundation is considering two locations for a secondary – one in London and the other in Leicester – and anticipates a similar level of demand for places. Not all of the children are of Indian origin; around 10% are white, a mix that gives a “slightly different flavour to the school”.

Parmar says emphasis is placed on inclusiveness, despite an entirely Hindu intake. “We are not an exclusivist ghetto. They learn about different religions. We celebrate Christmas and we have links with the local Jewish school. We do not indoctrinate the children to be vegetarian, we just say that we are vegetarian.”

The politics of faith schools, state-funded or otherwise, are lost on the four-year-olds having great fun performing yoga poses in the sports hall. The pupils have more success lying on their tummies doing the cobra than they do with the tree, which requires them to stand on one leg with their arms in the air and leads many of them to topple over on to their yoga mats.

At lunch, sitting cross-legged on the floor and munching through wholemeal pizza and salad, Aryan Patel says he is delighted with his new school. “I like it. It is nice. I like the yoga because it makes my body healthy.” He punches the air to prove it.

Hindu identity flows through the school. Each classroom has its own shrine where pupils can leave offerings, whether citrus fruits or felt-tipped pens, and there are multihued wall displays bearing Sanskrit and images of deities and farm animals. A poster for Diwali has diva lamps fashioned out of DVDs and tea lights.

Miss Allen, one of three teachers at the school and a Hare Krishna, says the school ethos is conducive to a calm atmosphere. “The children enjoy coming to school and that’s nice for us because we enjoy coming to school. They race into morning prayers. The faith aspect is really important.”

Minor raped, murdered in Dehra Dun by Sadist Muslim

In a gruesome incident reported from Kashipur, in the Udhamsingh Nagar district, a six-year-old girl named Shabnam of the Maheshpura locality was allegedly raped and murdered by a Muslim resident of the same locality. The body of Shabnam was found from the banks of Dhela river on Tuesday morning.

According to information, Shabnam had been missing since Saturday evening when she had stepped out of her house to purchase biscuits from a neighbouring shop. It was on Tuesday morning that some children saw stray dogs digging out the corpse of a girl from the sands on the bank of Dhela river. The matter was reported to the police and the girl was identified as Shabnam.

The police has arrested one Shaukat Ali, alias Lalla, on the charges of rape and murder. He had allegedly lured away the child to the river bank on the pretext of getting her some sweets and had buried her after raping and killing her. The police says that he is prone to consumption of alcohol and drug abuse. He works as a waiter in an eatery.

It is learnt that he had made a young boy a drug addict after sexually abusing him. This boy used to bring drugs for him and it is through this boy that the police was able to nab him.

During interrogation, the accused told police that he took away the girl to a nearby jungle and raped her. Later, he killed the girl, and hid her body near Dhela river.

The incident has sent shock waves among residents of the town, who reacted violently and gave vent to their anger by blocking traffic and disrupting the Republic Day celebrations.

A 14-year-old Hindu Dalit girl was gang raped and killed in Uttar Pradesh’s Muzaffarnagar district by the sadist Islamists. The two Muslim men involved in the crime have been arrested, police said Friday.

The incident took place Thursday evening in Shahpur village of Muzaffarnagar, about 350 km from Lucknow.

“Two Muslim friends Salim and Kalim – both residents of Shahpur village - abducted the Hindu girl while she was returning from the fields and raped her at a secluded place. Later, they strangulated the girl to death,” Deputy Superintendent of Police S.K. Shukla told IANS.

“Both the men, who are in their mid 20s, have confessed to the crime. They were nabbed on the outskirts of Shahpur village late Thursday,” he added.

As the semi-naked body of the 14-year-old girl was recovered from the fields Thursday evening, a large number of villagers, mostly from the Dalit community, staged demonstration at the police station of the area, demanding arrest of the men involved in the incident.

While carrying out the protest, villagers also scuffled with police and tried to damage their vehicles.

“In wake of the protests by the members of Dalit communities, additional security has been deployed in the village. We don’t want to take any chance,” Superintendent of Police (rural) Raju Babu told reporters.

SC to hear Swamy’s plea over Ayodhya idols darshan

New Delhi, Jan 29 (PTI) The Supreme Court today agreed to hear Janata Party chief Subramanian Swamy who has alleged that authorities in Ayodhya have put unreasonable restrictions on worshipping of Lord Rama in the temple at the disputed site.

A Bench headed by Chief Justice K G Balakrishnan allowed the application filed by Swamy to be impleaded as a party in the matter.

The court posted the case after six weeks asking the parties to file their affidavits.

During the brief hearing, Swamy submitted that irrespective of the final outcome relating to the title deed dispute pending in the Allahabad High Court, the authorities should ensure adequate arrangement for devotees to have a ‘darshan’ of the idols. Denial of the same was violative of their fundamental rights, he said.

Report by Fakir Balaji, Hampi (Karnataka), Jan 27, 2010 : Thousands of people descended on this world renowned heritage site Wednesday to witness the 500th anniversary of the coronation of Krishnadevaraya as emperor of the mighty Vijayanagara kingdom of yore!

Hours before the formal celebrations began in the evening, people used all modes of transport to throng the decked up ruins where a massive stage has been erected to recreate the grandeur of the coronation amid pomp and pageantry befitting the legendary king.

The three-day Hampi Utsav is being held at six venues spread over this 16th century capital of the Vijayanagara empire on the banks of the Tungabhadra river, about 350 km from Bangalore.

“The festival aims to portray the grandeur of the time when Hampi was the capital of Vijayanagara, one of the greatest Hindu kingdoms in India’s medieval history,” Kannada culture director Manu Baligar told IANS at the venue.

“The fest began with rural and adventure sports getting under way at the Kamalapura grounds from 10 a.m. onwards. Sports, including wrestling, kabaddi and weight-lifting, and rock-climbing that were popular during the emperor’s reign are staged to relive the golden times,” he said.

Jagdish Shettar, the state rural development and panchayat raj minister who inaugurated the sports, lamented that youth had forgotten native sports and games due to cricket mania.

“I hope staging sports and other physical activities that were popular during the Krishnadevaraya reign will revive interest among our youth, especially in rural areas,” Shettar said on the occasion.

Goolihatti Shekar, the state youth and sports minister, participated in rock-climbing with about 200 youths.

Finishing touches were given to the main stage, which has been artistically decorated with stone platforms that were the hallmarks of Vijayanagara architecture .

Hundreds of artists from Bangalore, Chennai and Mumbai built a make-shift stage measuring 200 feet wide, 100 feet long and 40 feet high for the cultural extravaganza at the inaugural ceremony.

Noted danseuse Sonal Mansingh, classical vocalist Pandit Jasraj and actress-politician Hema Malini will perform after the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)’s leader of opposition in the Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj launches the fest before sunset.

Union Home Minister P. Chidambaram, Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa, his cabinet colleagues and dignitaries will be present at the three-hour long inaugural event. Art of Living founder Sri Sri Ravi Shankar will grace the occasion.

“The present generation has a lot to learn from the golden era of Krishnadevaraya, who ruled the Vijayanagara empire for 21 years from 1509 to 1530,” Baligar pointed out.

A grand procession, comprising about a dozen elephants, a score of camels and 40 horses will precede the inaugural event from ‘Sasivekalu Ganesha’, a giant rock statue of Hindu god Ganesha, to the main venue, which is a mile away.

About 500 folk artists, musicians, drummers, dancers and singers will also form the procession.

Spread over 26 sq km, the Hampi ruins lie in the Deccan heartland of south India, with the Tungabhadra river flowing in the north and rocky hills and boulders on the three other sides.

The windswept hamlet was once the centre of a vibrant, thriving culture that enriched the carved temples and rock-cut magnificence.

Various cultural programmes, including song and dance, and a sound and light show, will recreate the grandeur and glory of the empire over the next two days.

Family recounts last-night chat – Wife asked ASI to wait till morning

As he was a profound supporter of RSS ideology, he tried his best to put her daughter in Saraswati Sishu Mandir successfully. He learnt dedication for work and the punctuality from the RSS Sakha (one hour daily performance) in his teens. And he sacrificed his life for the dignity of his assigned duties. But it is a great surprise to every locals that no men from RSS or the authorities of Sishu Mandir reached Sanat’s home to give a solace to the bereaved family of Ghoses.

“Sanat Ghosh’s wife recounted the last conversation she had with him last night and lamented why she hadn’t implored him enough to conduct the raid in the morning with more men.

The assistant sub-inspector of police had called up his wife Mita around 11pm yesterday(Saturday, 24.01.2010). He said he was going to raid a house in a Ratua village. Mita who stays at the police lines here with the couple’s daughter had asked him not to enter the village at the dead of night with so few men.

“It cannot be helped, the number of policemen at the thana is, too, inadequate,” Ghosh told her before leaving the Ratua police station.

“If only I had pleaded enough. I cannot forgive myself,” said Mita surrounded by neighbours.

“I am going on a raid. You have dinner and go to bed I will call you in the morning,” Mita quoted Ghosh as saying. “When I asked him who else were accompanying him, he told me. I asked him why he had home guards and the NVF (and not constables) with him, he told me he had no other alternative as there was inadequate force at the police station,” Mita said.

She said her husband was totally devoted to his duty and paid scant attention to household affairs. “His work was his priority, when I tried to pull him up, he used to say that at his age what else could he do? Now I am left with our 10-year-old daughter all by myself. We were supposed to join him in Ratua next month. All those plans are now shattered.”

The couple’s daughter is a Class V student of Saraswati Sishu Mandir.

Ghosh’s younger brother, Swadhin Ghosh, arrived this morning from their ancestral home in Kardaha in Tapan, South Dinajpur. Swadhin, a high school teacher in Tapan, stays there with their ageing parents and his wife.

“Our parents had struggled financially all along. When my brother joined the police in 1997, he used to supplement the family income,” Swadhin said.

Additional police superintendent of Malda Kalyan Mukherjee remembered Ghosh as the most courageous and responsible among the ASIs in the district police force. “He could be very acceptable to the public,” Mukherjee said.

When confronted with the information that the NVF personnel had rifles that allegedly did not work, Malda police chief Bhuban Mondol said: “The police fired one round. Ghosh did not get the chance to touch his revolver, so the bullet must have been fired by the other policemen. So how can you say that the rifles did not work? We are investigating into what exactly took place.” Senior officers said the role of those accompanying Ghosh was being probed.

The police chief said three years ago, the family of a youth had filed an abduction complaint against 48-year-old Ansarul, his wife Mamtaz Bagum and four sons Sheikh Ibrail, Shiekh Rasel, Shiekh Kayes and Shiekh Ayesh, and three others. They had complained that the youth from a village in Manikchak had been lured away with the promise of a job in Delhi by Ansarul and his family and had gone missing since then.

“The police had been trying to track down Ansarul for sometime. Ghosh had got the news that Ansarul had turned up in Chandpur and had gone to arrest him,” Mondol said.

Early this morning, enraged villagers ransacked Ansarul’s house and set it on fire. A former Congress panchayat pradhan of the area, Abdul Mannan, said: “The police came looking for Ansarul regularly and the family had earlier been chased out of villages in Manikchak and Ratua.”

The police handed over Ghosh’s body to his family after a post-mortem and a guard of honour.”

From a very reliable source it is known that Sk. Ansarul has been operating a racket of trafficking along with some suspected activitivism in favour of Islamic Fundamental Organisations in the border district areas with his full home team of Mamtaz Begum (wife), and four sons Sheikh Ibrail, Shiekh Rasel, Shiekh Kayes and Shiekh Ayesh. As Ansarul was a Ex-Army man, he always tried to grab the situation with the help of his pervious designation. It has also been surfaced that Ansarul supplied a huge number bullets to the Muslim goons of the area from an unknown source. Ansarul had a suspected connection with Jagroto Muslim Bangla Dal (JMB Party) which is connected with a plan to divide West Bengal on communal basis.

As per the statement of Ibrahim Khan, a sitting Congress Panchayet member of the village and the Ex-Prodhan of the concerned Panchayet, Abdul Mannan – “Ansarul is a very dangerous type of man. Nobody dare to mix with him or his family members”

The affairs in details definately struck the concerned to the matter of posting of Muslims in Army and Police, as no army or police training can help to change these Muslim Fundamentalists from the clutch of obstinate religiosity and devout anti-socialism.

Historical Shetaleshwar Bhairav temple opens after two decades in Srinagar

“OM NAMAH SHIVAY”  RENTED THE AIR  AGAIN  IN  OLD  HINDU  TEMPLE  IN  KASHMIR  VALLEY.

Srinagar, Jan.20 :The Basant Panchmi was celebrated in the Shetaleshwar Bhairav temple here, after after a gap of more than two decades.

The temple, which reopened today on 20th Jan, was closed down in 1990 after the eruption of  Islamic militancy in the Kashmir valley.

The Shetaleshwar Bhairav temple, located on the banks of Jehlum river in the old Srinagar city, was thrown open here on Wednesday after about two decades for devotees, on the occasion of Basant Panchmi.

The last mela of Basant Panchi was held in 1990, only a dozen pandits participated as others had migrated to other parts of the country because of  Islamic violence here.

Hundreds of Kashmiri Pandits gathered in this temple and prayed for peace and communal harmony in the Jammu and Kashmir State. The Shiva Abhisek and the Vedic Havan were the main attractions of the entire ceremony and rituals performed here.

The Kashmiri Pandits on the occasion, thanked all for their support and help for the opening of this temple, which also used to be a center of community activities two decades ago.

Kashmiri Pandit Sangarsh Samiti (KPSS) had initiated the renovation and cleaning work of the temple of at Sheetal Nath Habba Kadal, which remained closed after the insurgency broke down in Kashmir valley and forced Kashmiri Pandits to migrate from their homes to the other States of the country.

The temple was partially damaged due to fire set by the  Islamic militants.

Of the 585 temples in valley, shutdown by the militants, only 37 are functional at present of which 23 have been reopened in the last few years.

Hundreds of temples,  were closed after the mass migration of the Kashmiri pandits from here under the Islamic threat and separatist movement in early 90s and these were handed over to the local Muslims as care-taker under Govt. planning and honorarium to those Muslims without considering any Hindu rights or Hindu sanctity.

Kashmiri Pandits, however, hoped that with the help of the locals the rest of the temples would also be restored soon.

The temples are being reopened by those Kashmiri Pandits, who did not migrate and remained in the valley with their Muslim brothers despite the turmoil of militancy in the past. (ANI)

Non-migrant Kashmiri Pandits rue govt apathy

Nearly 3,000 Kashmiri Pandits living in the valley are facing an uncertain future. “We have suffered a lot living in Kashmir while those who migrated two decades ago have been getting the support of the government at different levels”, said TN Ganjoo, chairman of the Kashmiri Pandit Sangarsh Samiti (KPSS) on the occasion of reopening of Shri Sheetal Bhairav Mandir, Habba Kadal, here, recently.

The number of KPs living in different pockets across the valley is stated to be around 2,800, according to a census conducted by the KPSS. Their number was estimated at around 17,000 during early militancy when the then Pandit leader HN Wanchoo taken up the issue of the welfare of the community. The continued violence prompted several others to move out of the valley for employment opportunities and education.

“The leaders talk about secular character. We have kept it alive”, said Ganjoo, a retired teacher of Hindi from the University of Kashmir. “Those who migrated to Jammu or other parts of the state got support from the government, but those living here have suffered a lot along with the majority community,” he added.

He pointed out that it was difficult for members of the community to get a ration ticket “as if we are not residents of this place”. “I have to prove myself that I am a resident of this place because we cease to be in government records. We do not even figure in the list of migrants in Jammu or elsewhere”, he said.

As a result, the educated youth of the community are not getting job opportunities in the government sector, he and his colleagues opined. There are around 250 educated youth waiting to get jobs with least opportunities in Kashmir. “These young people prefer to move out of the valley to earn their livelihood”, said another Kashmiri Pandit.

Ganjoo said its leaders had been meeting various political leaders and putting forth the issues and problems but no attention was being given.

Sanjay K Tickoo, president of the KPSS, said the Apex Committee on KPs constituted by the government had assured that 600 jobs would be reserved in the new package for the non-migrant Pandits living in the valley, but these were denied. The Central Government had announced a package of 6,000 jobs to the KPs as part of their rehabilitation.

The KPSS has also been impressing upon the Central and state governments to protect their “identity” i.e. ancient temples etc in the valley. “The step-motherly treatment has forced us to take all socio-religious centres along with their moveable and immoveable property under the KPSS,” Tickoo stated.
